Background Check Process
COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION FORM: Fill out the form below to begin your application process.

RECEIVE AN INVOICE: You’ll be emailed an invoice for the $50.00 fee.

VERIFICATION RELEASE: Download and complete the Credential Verification Release of Information Form.

SUBMIT YOUR INFORMATION SECURELY: After payment, you’ll receive an invitation from Guardian Technologies to provide your information through their secure portal.

EMAIL ONE: An invitation to open a Guardian Account. This is our secure portal, where you will need to upload the following information:

Drivers License
Completed Credential Verification Release of Information
If Applicable:
Education Transcripts
POST Certification
Certifications relevant to your volunteer position, i.e. Certified Death Investigator, Medical License for Physicians
INVITATION EMAILS: After payment, applicants will be receiving two emails

CRIMINAL RECORDS LINK: You will receive an email from our criminal history check provider. This email will contact a link that will have you enter basic information about yourself, and give consent for criminal records check.

GET VERIFIED: Once the background check is completed, we’ll notify NecroSearch, and they will let you know the next steps. Once we begin the Background check and credential verification process it can take up to 10 working days.
